Lynn Austin Lalka practices and teaches in New Orleans, LA. Lynn began practicing yoga in 2007 as a way to minimize stress while in law school. She began to deepen her practice in 2010 when she began practicing at Swan River Yoga.
Never athletic, Lynn gravitated towards yoga as a way to learn to move in her body in an empowering way. As she continued to practice, she realized the positive effects of yoga go well beyond the physical benefits. She's grateful for the opportunity to continuously cultivate equanimity and loving kindness on the mat (and that she's then able to apply these teachings off the mat in every day life!).
In 2013, Lynn completed a 350 hour teacher training at Swan River Yoga. Since then, she has also completed over 70 hours of training focused specifically on therapeutic alignment and a 36 hour Prenatal teacher training. Lynn has gained skills and knowledge to work with pregnant and post-natal students, as well as students with injuries and limitations.
Lynn seeks to infuse an equal mix of tranquility and challenge into her classes. Above all, Lynn is dedicated to ensuring class feels safe and accessible for all. She is skillful at providing alignment cues and modifications to ensure that every student is able to make the practice his/her own.
